The School is committed to providing students the perspective and experience of practitioners so that they’re not just looking at these subjects academically, but approaching them from how they exist in the world today. For certain subject areas, the university setting is ideal, but we feel that the courses offered at The School of The New York Times are designed to have a direct link to the relevant and real-world dynamics that bring these issues to life, and provide an understanding of those issues. We aim to inspire students beyond the classic classroom setting.
