From September to mid-December, Gap Year students will tackle some of the most dynamic articles the NY Times has printed in "modules." Each module will represent one of the major sections of the paper (possibilities include Arts & Culture, Sports, Technology, Business, etc.) and will allow students to engage with the content in an exciting, non-traditional way - so each specific day will look a little different. Modules can last anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks and academic programming will take place between 9am-3pm Monday through Friday, beginning with a daily breakfast meeting. The Student Life elements of the program will provide scheduled activities, some optional, that will encourage students to learn about living in New York with a different perspective. These activities will range in scheduling from week to week, but a full student calendar will be given to participants before the start of the Gap Year program.
